On October 8 and 9 we took Alice and Ember to a dog show in Norco California at Pikes Peak Park. This event was the 2016 Southland Autumn Sieger held by IABCA. Twice a year we attend one of their events. This was Ember’s first IABCA event.

Both Alice and Ember didn’t do all that well. Ember is in her awkward stage so her front legs are shorter than her front. Plus she was a bit scared. She did finish ahead of an American dog, so we’ll take credit for that. Generally, no matter what, if an American shows up they usually finish first due to their different standards. She still gets her puppy championship.

Alice was in a group of 8 goldens. She gets docked for being too narrow every time. I believe this will be her last IABCA event. She has a bunch of championship titles from them now. She will be in one more UKC event in a couple of weeks that will hopefully finish out her dog show career.

They may not have done all that great, but we still think Alice is one of the best looking dogs there. Hopefully Ember will grow into her own as well. Below is a couple photos of the event.
