Jaks

The past few years have been a whirlwind. I held back finding a new pack member until a door opened at the right time. That timing came sooner than I anticipated. At the end of 2019 Jaks became available and now he has been welcomed into our pack and our newest Golden Retriever stud. He is joyful goofball, and my loyal companion. Often he considers himself a lapdog and is great with my kids.

Weight has stabilized at 83 lbs with a nice head. He scored wonderfully on PennHIP with a score of .34/.38. He has completed his OFA certifications. His eye exam evaluated as normal. His Advanced Heart exam evaluated as normal. OFA finals were recently evaluated as hips (good) and elbows (normal). He is also ICH clear (ICT-A clear) which is a big plus. Also PRA 1 & 2-Clear, PRCD-PRA-Clear, DM-Clear, NCL-Clear. He has a great pedigree, and is a mixture of many lines we have used in the past. He reminds me a lot of Olaf, Glacier and Tina all put into one. Lots of training in his future, and we will probably begin showing once Covid-19 slows. He is also a proven stud with multiple litters on the ground. We offer chilled semen and have had success with him collected by AI. Frozen semen will soon be available as well.

Recent preliminary sperm motility was evaluated at 96%, 0 abnormalities, and with a concentration of 585.96 million/ml. So far so good! We aim for over 70% motility and 250 million/ml.
