When Johanna was younger we had a Alaskan Malamute named Juno. When we were moving from Northern California back to southern California we were staying at our grandparents. She was in a gated area, but the door was open and she got out and ran away. We searched and searched. We went to the pound, reported her microchip, but never found her. Still miss her to this day. She was 8 years old.
